Human Resources Assistant - Temporary

The Human Resources/Professional Development Department is looking for a Human Resources Assistant to provide support to the various members of the HRPD team. Candidates for this role should have administrative experience as well as some experience working in the human resources field. Candidates should be well organized, self directed, and tech savvy. 

Some of the functions of the role may include:

  • Providing support to the recruitment team with the recruitment and hiring process.
  • Supporting the posting and monitoring of job advertisements as needed.
  • Supporting the recruitment team with scheduling onboarding appointments and extending offers of employment.
  • Completing quality-driven reference checks and verifying employment dates of applicants
  • Filing of documents.
  • Other duties that may be assigned.


  • High School Diploma required; Bachelor's degree preferred
  • 2 years of direct experience in an administrative role
  • 1-3 years experience in a human resources role.

Physical Requirements: Must have the ability to complete all standard administrative and support tasks including but not limited to climbing up and down stairs, operation of computers/phones/fax/printer/copy machine, and the ability to lift boxes, furniture, and equipment up to 30lbs. Must be able to travel from the various locations and sites of Sheltering Arms.
