The Family Support Services (FTR) Clinical Supervisor is a member of Family Support Services management team and provides program oversight to the team.  The FTR Clinical Supervisor has an assigned unit consisting of case planners, one CASAC Specialist, and one case aide.  The FTR Clinical Supervisor will provide weekly clinical supervision to staff to ensure that administrative and programmatic mandates, policies, and procedures are being met and that case work staff is working towards ensuring that family service goals are achieved.  The FTR supervisor schedules and chairs Clinical Diagnostic Team meetings (CDTs). The FTR Supervisor’s method of supervision must support preventive outcomes as defined by PAMS and APA.

 Essential Functions:

  • Provide program oversight and daily guidance and support to staff to ensure best casework practice.
  • Conduct and document weekly supervision with case planners, CASAC Specialist and Case Aide to monitor quality of progress notes and ensure appropriate assessment of safety and risk service goals are met.
  • Ensure FTCs are scheduled and held within prescribed timeframe and FASPs are approved and submitted by due dates
  • Conduct CDTs within 30 days for all new cases, complete CDT template and enter CDT documentation in CNNX within 72 hours of completion of conferences.
  • Monitor CASAC to ensure collaterals are identified and invited to participate in CDTs.
  • Ensure CDTs will be held prior to changing treatment phase and discharge.
  • Ensure CPs clearly identify phase (Initial; Baseline; Stabilization) in progress notes.
  • Clearly identify approved phase (Initial; Baseline; Stabilization) changes in monthly case reviews
  • Ensures all casework contacts are being made by and documented by case team in accordance with FTR phase.
  • Conduct monthly case reviews of caseload and at least five cases per week using the designated tracking tools. 
  • Ensure progress notes are read and feedback given back to case planners within five business days.
  • Track and monitor time to ensure all FTCs; FASPs; CNNX and PROMIS are monitored appropriately.
  • Assign intakes, new referrals and review with case planner at time of case assignment. 
  • Complete and/or ensure psycho-socials on all new intakes within 30 days of intake.
  • Enter face to face contacts, sibling visits and home visits in PROMIS and Connections (CNNX) on a weekly basis by case planners.
  • Ensure CASAC Specialist conduct and complete assessments accurately and in a timely manner.
  • Ensure all Family Team Conferences (FTCs) are scheduled and held within required time frames.  Attend and participate in the FTC to ensure family and other services providers are represented at the service plan.  Ensure that caseworker has followed through with previously established goals within the six-month plan period.  Ensure that the FTC results in the development of six-month service plan goals.
  • Attend and participate in FTCs, Elevated Risk and Child Safety Conferences with case planners.
  • Maintain caseload coverage as required.
  • Supervise MSW interns
  • Assess professional development.
  • Complete annual employee appraisals
  • Ensure compliance of all agency and ACS policy and procedures.
  • Attend meetings, trainings and community outreach efforts as needed.
  • Perform related duties as assigned.

QUALIFICATIONS:

  • LMSW or equivalent Mental Health License.
  • Two-Three years of Post master’s supervisory experience in child welfare and family services
  • Clinical child welfare practice experience a plus; thorough working knowledge of ACS preventive services system;
  • Have understanding of systemic approaches for the supervision of staff
  • Experience managing Evidence Based child welfare programming
  • Possess strong leadership, oral, writing and organizational skills. 
  • Demonstrated commitment to family-centered child welfare service delivery and Flexibility and ability to work under pressure and meet deadlines
